What Is Radiesse?

Radiesse is an injectable treatment that boosts your skin's natural collagen production while instantly reducing stubborn wrinkles. Radiesse consists of CaHA, or calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres, made with calcium and phosphate ions that are made naturally in humans. The gel instantly provides volume and stimulates collagen near the injection site for continued long term improvement. Over time, the microspheres dissolve, and the CaHA is absorbed safely by the body. It is a great alternative to conventional face lifts and cosmetic surgery, since it is nontoxic, hypoallergenic and requires zero downtime. Radiesse works best for clients between 35 and 60 years of age, who have already begun to develop wrinkles.

Target Areas

The majority of Radiesse injections are used to target areas of the face, especially around the nose and mouth where wrinkles are most often formed. Laugh lines are one of the most popular issues that can be greatly reduced by Radiesse. Some clients also utilize Radeisse to minimize scarring, and to plump other areas of skin that have lost volume such as the back of the hands.

What to Expect During Your Appointment?

Unlike face lifts and other popular cosmetic surgical treatments, there is no downtime involved with Radiesse injections. They are performed in-office, and clients can return home immediately following the injection. Most treatments take only 15 minutes and are performed by a highly trained and qualified Radiesse provider. While some soreness at the injection site is common, most people can return to their normal activities right away. Results will be seen instantly but may take up to a week for maximum fullness to take effect. While the period between treatments vary, some men and women can wait up to two years before the procedure needs to be repeated.
