Reliable Pellet Therapy in Atlanta, GA

At Harley Institute, we use pellet therapy to help restore healthy hormone levels through a steady, natural release process. Hormones influence energy, mood, focus, and overall vitality, and even small changes can make a big difference in how you feel day to day. Pellet therapy involves placing small, bioidentical hormone pellets beneath the skin where they dissolve gradually. The slow release keeps your hormone levels stable and supports your body’s natural rhythm without the ups and downs that can come with pills or creams. Keep reading to see how this therapy helps men and women regain balance and improve their quality of life.

Balance your hormones with Pellet Therapy in Atlanta, GA. Harley Institute offers safe, effective hormone treatments for lasting energy and wellness.

How Pellets Work

Hormones act like messengers that guide nearly every system in the body. When hormone levels change with age, stress, or certain health issues, the body’s signals can weaken. Pellet therapy in Atlanta helps restore what your body no longer produces as it once did. Each pellet carries a measured dose of bioidentical hormones that share the same structure as the ones your body makes on its own. They melt away little by little, sending out hormones at a steady rate. Your body responds on its own by increasing the release when you’re active and slowing it down at rest. Since the hormones are bioidentical, your body knows exactly what to do with them. Many people notice improvements in sleep, clarity, stamina, and emotional steadiness. While individual responses vary, the design of pellet therapy supports your system in a way that feels more in tune with your natural function.

Signs You May Benefit From Hormone Support

Hormone imbalance can look different for everyone, but several shared patterns tend to appear. You may feel a drop in energy or experience mental fog that wasn’t there before. Some people notice their mood changing or feel like their patience runs thin. Others see shifts in weight or have trouble sleeping. For women, signs like hot flashes, night sweats, or irregular cycles can point to changes in estrogen or progesterone. For men, lower testosterone may show up as tiredness, lower drive, or less muscle tone. Some chalk it up to stress or age, but unbalanced hormones can affect a lot more than mood or metabolism. They also play a role in cardiovascular health, bone density, and cognitive sharpness. When your hormones stay out of sync, it can feel like your body and mind are working against you. If your energy or focus hasn’t returned despite good habits and lifestyle changes, it may be worth taking a closer look. A pellet therapy doctor in Atlanta can help you find out whether hormone replacement could help. With lab tests and a talk about your symptoms, your provider can identify any imbalances and build a plan tailored to your needs.

The Procedure and What to Expect

Pellet therapy is meant to be quick and easy. The procedure happens right in the office and usually takes about fifteen minutes. After the area is cleaned and numbed, the practitioner places small pellets under the skin through a tiny opening. A simple bandage covers the spot afterward, and no stitches are needed. Most patients return to normal activity right after the visit, with the exception of avoiding heavy exercise for a few days. The pellets begin releasing hormones right away, though it may take one to two weeks for the body to reach steady levels. Each set of pellets lasts several months, depending on your metabolism and dosage. Follow-up visits are simple. You’ll talk with your provider about how you’ve been feeling, look over your lab results, and plan the next treatment. Most people only need a few sessions each year to keep hormone levels steady without daily upkeep. For those used to taking pills or applying creams every day, it’s a welcome change of pace.

Why Consistency Matters for Hormone Health

Hormones guide long-term patterns in the body. When hormone levels shift too far in either direction, the effects ripple through the whole body. Pills and creams can help, but they rely on when you take them and how well they absorb. Those variables can throw off delivery and leave you with more one day and less the next, which makes staying balanced harder. Pellets solve this by maintaining a consistent release day and night. It keeps your baseline steady by supporting everything from focus and metabolism to emotional balance. Stable hormones also play a part in how your body manages stress. When levels drop, your system can slip into fatigue more easily. Cortisol, the stress hormone, tends to rise in response, which can lead to sleeplessness or irritability. Restoring hormone balance gives your body the signal that it’s safe to return to normal function. The gradual release design also protects against the “crash” that some therapies can cause. Instead of peaks and valleys, your levels remain within a healthy range throughout the treatment period. The steadiness supports clearer thinking, stronger motivation, and a more even mood throughout the day.

Living Well With Balanced Hormones

Healthy hormones support bone strength, heart health, cognitive clarity, and metabolism. They influence how your body responds to exercise and how quickly you recover from stress or injury. When your levels stay balanced, you feel more in control of your physical and mental state. This therapy makes it easier by removing the daily guesswork. Once your provider establishes your dose and placement schedule, your body receives what it needs automatically. That's great for busy people who want to maintain their health without constant reminders or adjustments. Our goal is to help your body do what it was designed to do. Every treatment plan begins with a thorough review of your history, current concerns, and lifestyle goals. Taking the time to understand your needs helps us create a program that fits you.

Pellet Therapy FAQ

Frequently Asked Question

Is hair reduction using laser permanent?

Treatment results may vary among patients. The Altus CoolGlide Laser is cleared by the FDA for Permanent Hair Reduction. The FDA defines permanent hair reduction as the long term, stable reduction in the number of hairs re-growing after a treatment regime.

Will it work on dark skin?

The Cutera CoolGlide Laser is FDA-approved for use in types I to VI skin, that is, from the whitest white to the darkest dark. Care is taken with the darker shades of skin, but excellent results can be obtained in black skin.

What does it feel like?

The laser treatment may feel like a mild sting for a fraction of a second. It has a built-in cooling tip that not only helps to protect the skin but also helps to minimize the discomfort.

How long do the treatments take?

An upper lip and chin can be done in 5 to 10 minutes. Underarms or bikini lines usually take 15 to 20 minutes. Legs and backs take longer. Very often, follow-up treatments are shorter (and less expensive) because there is much less hair to treat.

How many treatments are necessary?

This is very important to understand. Hair goes through 3 stages of development. Typically in the anagen stage, the hair will respond more effectively to treatment. At any given time, only one third of human hair is in the anagen stage. For this reason, it is necessary to treat an area at least 3 times with the treatments spaced approximately 6 weeks apart in order to see the best and longest lasting results. Darker hair will respond better, but both dark and light hair may need up to 5 treatments for maximum response and the best long-term results.

Results - What can I expect?

There is often no immediate change. Your skin may get slightly red or even develop a small crust that will peel. The laser may leave small red marks on your skin. The marks clear up in a few days. The hair that has been destroyed will not start to fall out for 2-3 weeks. Many times it will get darker and thicker just before it falls out. Don't worry if you do not see an obvious change immediately after your first treatment.
