Yes, the fact is beauty comes from the inside - it's all about the food we eat and not the beauty cream we apply or the hair treatment and other services we get from the spa. Agreeably, they do help, but what goes inside your body is important and determines a lot.

Like the popular Elizabeth Peyton-Jones that was renowned for cracking the code for looking youthful stated: "The only things you can do wrong with food are to over-salt it, over sugar it and overcook it."  This is just as a result of setting our standards so high that we do things in excess and probably get nothing from the food we eat.

So what's the solution?

The secret to beauty and youthfulness is good health, and the first step to achieving this is to eat a variety of good food and avoid bad lifestyle. However, let's understand that there are no "˜super foods,' but variety is the key. Try out these foodie secrets with nutritional properties that will help you look younger, get healthy skin, hair and nails.

Eat lots of protein to nourish your skin

Eating proteins are recommended because some of them have been identified to help remove wrinkles and make us younger. Proteins like collagen, keratin and elastin are so beneficial and can be gotten from a serving of chicken, lean meat, legumes, seafood, and eggs. But remember, eating an excess of protein can be detrimental to your health, that's why we recommend moderation by eating protein-rich food at least once a day.

Your body loves raw organic almonds

Because of its rich amino acid content, almonds are known to strengthen the body and support collagen growth. It also contains a high quantity of natural antioxidants and supplies the body with other anti-inflammatory benefits. Almonds are highly valuable to the hair, skin, teeth, and nails because they are a great source of calcium.

An important vitamin needed to have a glossy hair and stronger nails is B vitamin biotin, and it can be found richly in almonds. If you want to be at the top of your game and look healthy and younger, do not neglect natural foods like almonds because they are highly nutritious.

Consume seafood for essential fat

Skincare specialists recommend the consumption of seafood because they contain Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats for the treatment of dry and scaly skin. They contain hormone-like substances called prostaglandins that help in controlling inflammation and immunity in the body. However, you need a balance between them by eating sardines, salmons, and tuna.

Go green!

Going green means providing the body with vitamins A, C, E, and K and the body loves them a lot. Eat foods that have leafy green content because they contain a good amount of calcium, magnesium, and potassium. You need to also consume foods like broccoli, spinach watercress, etc. The hairs, nails, and skin need minerals to look more attractive and greenish food also contains protein, iron, and biotin.

Reduce stress and minimize consumption of processed foods

You need to reduce stress and the exposure of the skin to bad weather conditions to achieve the desired results. Packaged foods have more salts, sugar and "˜bad' fat and should be avoided as much as you can. Be simple and natural so you could look and feel younger.
