Most people wish to have such beautiful skin, but they find it difficult to abide by some certain rules or avoid the negative lifestyle that can affect their skin. Instead, they spend a huge amount of money at beauty parlors and in buying expensive cosmetics to make sure their skin looks attractive. But the secret to having a glowing skin is not based on the price of your cosmetics but leading a healthy lifestyle and having an intensive skincare routine on a daily bases.

At Harley Institute, we are dedicated to helping you look good and achieve healthy skin and face that is devoid of wrinkles, spots, and folds so that your skin can be the cynosure of all eyes. You can get started by following these effective skin care tips.

Stop exposing your skin to sun rays

Do you know that the skin is the most exposed organ in your body? It gets out in the open most times without being protected from the sun and other environmental elements. When you frequently expose your skin to the sun, there is every tendency that you'll start experiencing skin problems, wrinkles on the face and you may look older than your mates. So try as much as you can to protect your skin from the sun by applying these tips:

  • Always stay under a shade or indoors in the afternoon or whenever the sun rays are intensive.
  • Cover up the skin with clothes like long sleeved shirts or the ones designed to block ultraviolet rays.
  • You can use sunscreen to protect the skin by applying it whenever the skin is about being exposed to environmental elements.

Improve your diet

Eating healthy food on a daily basis contributes to your having that healthy skin of your dreams. Before meals, you can take fruits and veggies that are rich in Vitamin C. As an antioxidant that prevents collagen damage; Vitamin C is very useful in fighting wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes.

Strawberries, broccoli and citrus fruits are all rich in Vitamin C and can be taken before or after meals.

The other vitamin that is necessary for smooth complexion and glow skin is Vitamin A. It helps in cell formation to make the skin look younger and flourishing. Carrots, spinach, sweet potatoes, and squash are all rich in Vitamin A and should be consumed frequently as recommended by skin care professionals from Harley Institute.

Exfoliate your face and also use moisturizers

As a female, it is recommended that you exfoliate your face at least twice a month to remove dead cells that could lead to blackheads and acne breakouts. Excessive exfoliating the face can dry up your skin and cause further damages.

Also, it's good to use moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated. This could be done on a daily basis after a bath and before bedtime. When you frequently moisturize the face, it feeds the pores of your face and makes the skin look healthy.

Apart from external hydration of the skin through moisturizers, it is recommended that you drink a lot of water to keep your whole system hydrated. For more tips on maintaining healthy skin and expert advice, you can call skin care professionals from Harley Institute.
