What are the Commonest Procedures for Facial Rejuvenation Treatment?

Some of the commonest options of removing facial scars, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, and other skin imperfections are Botox, soft tissue fillers and chemical peels. The Botox injections are affordable and come with very few risks. They are efficient in smoothening neck, brow, and wrinkles on the face. Botox requires no recovery time.

Soft tissue fillers involve the use of injection of soft tissues under the skin, to add some weight to the cheekbone, and improve your jawline. They can eliminate acne scars, re-sculpt your lips and fill in those lines running from the side of nostrils to the mouth corners. These fillers often contain hyaluronic acid or Poly-L-Lactic acid that can be absorbed by the body.

Chemical peels can be used in eliminating age spots, wrinkles, and discoloration. Chemicals used in this case could be glycolic, Trichloroacetic acid or Salicylic acid. When applied to the skin, they can dissolve the affected skin layers and remove the top skin layer to reveal newer and more radiant skin.

Other Common Procedures for Facial Rejuvenation

Microdermabrasion, micro-needling and Laser therapy, are three other popular facial rejuvenation options you may want to consider today. Microdermabrasion involves the sanding of the affected area with some tiny aluminum hydroxide crystals that can smoothen the skin. It is inexpensive and no recovery time is needed.

Microneedling technique involves the use of an electric or battery-operated device contains some small sharp and thin needles on the skin, to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Some therapeutic agents such as hyaluronic acid or ascorbic acid can be applied before or after needling to ensure that the treatment penetrated deeply. This treatment comes with very little discomfort.

Laser Therapy and Skin Rejuvenation

Laser therapy is a skin rejuvenation therapy that can be used to eliminate moderate and deep lines and wrinkles on the face. It can be used in improving skin tone, texture, and tightness. It is one of the suitable options in eliminating birthmarks, spider veins, and Port-wine stains.

Can I Try These Therapies at Home?

Fortunately, some of the skin rejuvenation options mentioned above can be applied at home. Microdermabrasion and chemical peels have similar ingredients but in different concentrations, that can be applied at home. Similarly, there are micro-needling rollers that can be used in delivering moisturizers, retinol and other skin treatments at home. You may want to check with Harley Institute for more information on getting the most from your skin rejuvenating care treatments.
