Learn MorePlatelet Rich Plasma, also known as PRP, has been used in clinical and surgical arenas since the early 90s. Initially used to aid and induce wound healing, PRP has been used in everything from Sports Injuries, Back Surgeries, to treat chronic pain, injured tissue and joints, to snake bites.
For over a decade now, PRP has been used in Cosmetic Medicine to treat collagen strength, quality and volume, tissue aging and laxity, as well as Hair Loss.
What is the PRP procedure and how does it work?
The PRP Treatment is a process where we use a patient\'s own blood. After obtaining a small amount of blood, a centrifuge is used to separate the red blood cells from rich platelets.
When introduced to an area via microneedling, platelets release enzymes and growth factors which promote repair of tissue, new collagen creation and increased volume to the area treated.
