Establish a Beauty Routine Now

Good habits take time to establish. If you start out developing a skin care routine in your teens or early twenties, then you'll be a lot more likely to continue the practice in your thirties, forties and beyond. Make sure to create a morning and nighttime regimen that includes sun protection, exfoliation, moisturizing and spot treatments as needed.

Get Rest

Staying up late is a hallmark of youth. People in their twenties may be notorious for post-midnight adventures, but it's important to get plenty of sleep. Try your best to keep a schedule that includes at least 8 hours of sleep. If you stay up past bedtime, arrange an opportunity to sleep in.

Prioritize Fitness, Hydration and a Healthy Diet

Healthy skin demands a healthy lifestyle. Again, your twenties is an excellent time to establish habits that will last. Taking a jog or hitting the gym regularly will provide plenty of oxygen to your cells, and keep your circulation pumping. In addition, include at least 8 glasses of water a day and include essential vitamins and minerals in every meal, so your skin gets all the nourishment it needs.

Invest in Preventative Treatments

Younger generations are very lucky to have access to modern non-surgical treatments. In the past, women who were unhappy with the condition of their skin would often need to undergo risky and expensive cosmetic surgery. Now, specialists have a wide array of new technologies that can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, remove damaged skin and reduce other signs of aging without excessive pain or down time. Begin scheduling occasional treatments for microdermabrasion, chemical peels, facials and other non-invasive treatments that will extend the longevity of your healthy skin.
